Batemans Bay Game Fishing Club, is based on the NSW South Coast. It is one of the oldest game fishing clubs in NSW that was established in 1936.
We are strongly represented in the NSWGFA Southern Zone, particularly in Tag and Release.
We run one major annual tournament. The Simrad Tollgate Islands Classic is held in January each year, which is one of the biggest tournaments on the NSW South Coast, and is represented by boats from all over the state and interstate. The 2022 Tollgates Island Classic is being held from 14th to 16th January 2022.
The Tournament Entry Form and Brochure is available on the ‘Tournaments’ page.
Batemans Bay GFC also holds an annual Tuna Tournament that was established in 2020. The tournament is held each year in July and goes until the start of August. It is the only month long tournament held in NSW by a game fishing club.
Batemans Bay GFC hold an annual presentation night to award club members who have placed first or runner-up in the scoring categories for either capture or tag and release. This dinner welcomes all club members at the end of the fishing season in May to celebrate the clubs winners. It is also a great opportunity for club members to catch up and reflect on the fishing year together.
We welcome new members, please contact us if you would like more information about joining the club. Membership Forms can be downloaded from our Membership Page of this website.
Don’t forget to visit us on Facebook, which we use to communicate with members, share photos, and promote our annual tournaments as well as other relevant fishing activity.
